see the thing is patrollers arent the government, you cant try to overthrow them and change the rules, they can just kick you out... and their not really dicks, their just trying to look out for you... most of the time

another bonus to snowboardin. you can just sled down to your car so i couldnt give less of a fuck what the retarded ski patrol have to say. Im sick of seein every park rider getting their passes pulled for moving too fast or hitting side features when its a known fact that they would never stop any other type of skiier for such reasons

This is retarded. There are a few examples where ski patrollers are out of line, but a large majority of the time ski patrollers are looking out for you and trying to keep the resort safe. Have fun getting hurt or buried in an avalanche with no "stupid" patrollers. A resort with out ski patrollers would be chaos and extremely dangerous.

I like this one.

I'm not a patroller, and probably will never be one.
I really don't see how you could dislike them though. It doesn't make any sense to me. They're basically mountain-medics. They help everyone and just enforce the rules too.

Over the course of skiing today I sat with 3 different patrollers. Nicest guys ever, I seriously don't see how you could hate.

I don't understand the hate towards ski patrol. They aren't police; they are skiers just like us, who want to have a good time riding the mountain. Most of them are volunteers to who have spent money out of their own pockets for training and equipment so that they can give back to their home mountain. Thank ski patrol for blasting down avalanches so that runs can be open, doing general maintenance, and helping people when they're hurt. Sure, they can be overreact or go on power trips sometimes but for the most part they are just trying to prevent any accidents that they will have to clean up. Give them some respect and they will give it back.

Most of them were also just like us a long time ago too. They have been skiing most of their lives and love the sport just as much as we do. Can't all skiers just be friends and chill with each other? Whether it's, racers-park rats-patrollers anyone, we all love the same sport more than anything else.
