Last year is the first year i really got into freestyle. When I was first learning urban rails in the beginning of the season, I slipped out a lot and hit the side of my left thigh on rails, a lot. At first the bruises were small and would go away after a few days but after a while, each time i hit it the bruise would get larger and at its worst it would swell to about the size of a grapefruit. Towards the end of the season I hit it much less, but it did permanent damage to the tissue in that area.
So a week ago I hit it again. I went for a 2-7 out of a dfd urban and when i went to spin off i hit my ski on the rail and fell pretty hard. Even a year later, its worse than ever. I have a bruise the size of a dinner plate in that spot and its starting to heal but when it was at it's worst the swelling was about the size of a softball, and its all hard and swollen in weird sports under the skin.
Cool story right? Anyways, I'm just wondering if any of you have had something like this happen, and how you dealt with it. Like I've been doing the typical advil/rest/ice thing but its taking forever to get better. It just sucks because I'm scared to go hard on tricks when its hurt because if i hit it again ill be out for another couple weeks.
I can post pics of the bruise but its just below and to the left of my ass so idk if thats a good idea, and also its pretty nasty looking so id rather not.
Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated and will get +k
Thanks everyone.
