in 2006 my friend bought a trio of atomic's urban triplets. these things were gnarly: metal strips underfoot to slide better on rails, triple rivets, a 3rd ski included in case one broke, totally symmetrical (pretty progressive in 06). they were made to be absolute bombproof, indestructible, urban only skis. basically this thread is just to ask why everyone and their mother didnt buy these. the first day out on them he popped a nollie about 5 feet in the air off near-flat ground on a green circle, and it scared the shit out of everyone watching cause no one expected that a ski could make you go so huge. they got ridden hard as hell for the first two seasons until he moved away from freestyle towards BC, when they became his rock ski, essentially. they got ridden through woods with hardly any snow, across a gravel parking lot, on rails on rails, big jumps, sketchy cliffs, and basically anything else you can think of that is bad for skis. to this day they are still in better condition than the LINE step ups he got lat year. and the step up was designed to be durable. i have seen barely anyone else with this ski cause they seem pretty much flawless. they are a park super-ski, if you will. im thinking about trying to find a pair for myself to use because i dont know of anything else that can match it. i know, pretty useless thread, but i think its a ski that deserves some attention.
