Looks like Austin Powers 4. Not even a smile.

Cohen is a master of characters in hidden camera and faux show hijinx and getting people to play around with their expectations and prejudices. This looks like a steaming pile of shit if judged solely by the trailer.

This is gonna be an interesting film. They're already into post- production, meaning they were probably shooting this summer, and in pre production last spring or even earlier. My guess is they decided to make a film mocking Gaddafi right after the beginning of Arab Spring... Which means they were probably done shooting or close to it when Gaddafi was actually killed. I'm sure there was a LONG set of meetings to discuss whether or not to release a film mocking him after he died.

No, I'm not kidding you, you just don't know what I'm talking about...

The Ali G movie, Ali G Indahouse, came out in like 2002, it's the Ali G character as a fictional character with a plot, just like The Dictator would seem.

It's a horrible film.
