Halfpipe Help

The Halfpipe At work opens this week and I'm Planning on hitting it. But Iam still A beginner in Pipe and park. Anyone have any tips or good links that can help me out.

also go faster than you think you have to. it's always worked for me.

threads cause my mountain doesn't have a pipe so when i go down to mammoth all i can do is air out

If you want to air, pop when you start losing speed not when you are on top of the wall. Also, commit and go at your own pace. If you don't understand something, there are a lot of tutorials for half pipe skiing, just google it.

the first time is pretty awkward lol.Its different because when u frontside or backside air you are actually doing a frontside 1 or backside 1.Get in the pipe with decent speed , dont go too fast.When u are at the lip  just pop and turn ur body to frontside or backside.Dont huck  hard because its really easy to turn ur body and skis. Just start doing it with steady speed and once u feel comfy just increase the speed

commit and haul ass ! seriously you need alot of speed and edge hold just to get outa the pipe. skis with good edges are crucial as well if you really get serious down the line . but just have fun and keep your sppeed!!

go with the pipe, dont fight it. imagine youre a bowling ball that was rolled into the pipe and it rolls back and fourth from wall to wall zig zagging down the pipe. thats the line you should be on. keep your hands forward, knees bent, and head up.
