Anyone rode their Filthy Riches yet?

So I can't wait to get on my filthy riches but unfortunately they're being mounted. Anyone rode theirs yet? How are they? Also, I'm a complete ski noob. They have early rise correct? Because they're cambered underfoot but i know the have some rocker to them

You're in luck, I was able to ride mine in Utah for 3 days, and I must say...best park ski I've ever ridden!

It's a park ski, that carve almost just as well as some GS skis I used to ride. Not only that, you can either be quick edge to edge for tight turns or really get into them and make wide arcing turns..it LITERALLY amazes me how they made them work, I've NEVER had that much fun just cruising around on a park ski. And, they're just as good backwards as they are forward. They also FAST, my brand new FRs vs my friends brand new Coreupt Yards (bought off of Dale Talkington, made specifically for him with a sintered race base), FRs took them EVERY DAMN TIME (even when we switch skis...)

They stiffer than the skis I've been on the past couple of years (afterbangs then domains), but that was a welcome change. Because of their flex you can charge hard with them without even thinking about it. But they can certainly still butter (I nose butter 5'd a bump on the ground with no problem), and they're forgiving enough that you can land a bit backseat and still pull it off.

As far as in the park, you can whip them around like any other park ski out there with no problems. Not to mention the edge thickness (you've seen them, they're huge, it's awesome). There's no problems popping and ollieing (I was a brighton one day, they were at a point were they had to dig out their park every night and put it back in every morning, this meant small lips, if any at all, and I could ollie on no problem).

You'll love them, have no worries. Once you get used to the carve, go race some friends around the mountain and I bet you crush them every time, then go into the park and show them how they preform in the element they were actually built for, haha.

This. Fucking this so hard. On3p makes such incredible park skis,the only thing more fun is their pow or charging skis!

Yup, when I was riding them I said "there's no way there could be a more fun ski"...then I put on my Jefferys and was proven wrong.

I don't think I could be more eager to get on the mountain with mine. My friend got Jeronimos and absolutely loves them. Why can't Seven Springs have snow???

Flashkick pretty much summed it up.

I rode mine Friday night (indoor hill) and I had so much fun on them.

I've found them softer than 10/11 Chronics but stiff enough when needed (landing back seat etc.).

With the rocker in the tip and tail they ski incredibly short, even after being used to regular camber underfoot (these are my first rockered skis). I'm glad I went for the 181s as if I got the 171s I feel I wouldn't have enjoyed them as much.

Also got many compliments on the topsheet.

Finally rode them yesterday and they were so sick! The first few runs I had a little trouble turning on them and was debating weather i got the wrong ski or not. I also was landing back seat on everything, I mean everything, jumps, sidebooters, and so on. Finally the 4th run it just clicked. Stopped landing backseat and turning felt normal. I don't even know how you describe the difference in turning them compared to a normal cambered ski. Anyways they were sick!!

Got 4 inches of pow last night (very uncommon living in wisconsin) I'm stoked to see how they will handle it!

Not trolling... Dale wanted some slight changes to the skis when he first signed up, he got like 10 protos made for him, my friend bought a pair off him.


In case you were still on the fence with FRs...this will probably take you over the top:

Here's a pair of Filthy Richs, they have about 40+ days on them, pretty much all rails every day:

2 edge cracks, only 1 cause by a rail (the other was an unfortunate encounter with a rock, it's behind the heel piece so I'm not really worried about it at all).

Here's a pair of Liberty Phil Laroses with about the same amount of time on them, at the same mountain(s), on the same rails:

several edge cracks, a few edge dents, and about 8inches of missing edge.

I'm absolutely amazed by the durability of this ski, it's outstanding.

if those were cheaper, i'd be all over them. get what you pay for i kno, but you still have to pay. i'd go for a last years model deal or something but that doesn't happen with these huh?

it's just a funny oversight on how important wax is, not how one type of ski is faster than the other. You can give me any ski and if I wax it up right it will beat a "world cup" ski that needs a wax job. Welcome to ski tuning I guess, ON3P is sick, but based on fk's post I'd expect to see everybody on a pair of ON3Ps in the world cup races this year, and if I had to guess that probably won't happen.

Both were fresh out of the plastic.

And, did I say they were faster than World Cup skis...no, I said they were faster than another park ski. I understand the importance of wax, but in this particular comparison, it didn't really matter.

so that means rowen can put a structure into a ski. I just don't like the mentality that one ski is "faster" than another. you are underselling how important the tune rowen put into that particular ski is and how important tuning skis are in general by saying a pair of FRs are faster than a pair of yards. Grab two more sets of skis out the plastic and you could easily get a pair of yards beating a set of FRs down the hill. It's a credit to Rowen, which is obviously a credit to ON3P, but it's a very poor measure of how the FRs ride over their lifetime.

Filthy riches are a good ski, but next time use your brain and think before you spend $500

It's not hard to read the specs, or plethora of FR reviews on ns.... takes 20 seconds to go to the on3p website where they list specs for their skis
