If you have not heard, Stept is creating a game exactly like S.K.A.T.E, but on snow and with skiers rather than skaters. I love the concept, just another way stept is mixing it up in the ski world.

Although most of the stept guys ski mainly rails, I am hoping that in later episodes when other skiers outside of stept are introduced that jumps will come into play also.

its a good start, like Ben said in the thread i linked at least skiers are stealing from skateboarding instead of snowboarding. they should do it all on one feature, makes more sense IMO. they need a more defined set of rules (see battle at the berrics). i dont think tricks on the ground after a feature should be included (ie shuffles). its a good start though.

In the rules of the game you have to call your shuffles, so scrubby landings are a no go (i.e. if you call blind 4 off and land at 3 and push it though to 4 it doesn't count, you have to land with skis downhill unless you call otherwise).

Also, Mount Snow did a similar concept all last season, but against their park crew:

R.I.D.E. With a Ranger #11 from carinthia parks on Vimeo.

Although, since most of their park crew are snowboarders, there were only 2 ski episodes.

First one was a good start, but it needs better rules, like BATB. Like I said in the other thread, glad to see skiing moving up one level in the copying world so they are on par with snowboarding. Now skiing will be a few less years behind.

agreed to both points. it might hamper creativity a little bit, but i'd almost rather see them do just straight up rail tricks so it's easier to judge
