Bummer to hear that Mr. Mike. That ski was fun as hell, last year they tried to keep that same playful flex by adding carbon stringers which did cut down breaks but looks like it wasn't enough that's why this year they bumped the core from 9mm to 13mm and thus far the new ones have been bomber. Fun and durable is always a touchy balance, but for a small company like Surface it's tough to do the same R&D as the megas sometimes.
To answer the question to this thread though, if you're looking for a Surface ski similar to the PB&J check out the One Time, wide plat-form park rocker with a stiffer flex. Limited release this year but super fun all over the hill, been loving that ski.
