I take a dryer sheet, rip it in half and put one in each of my boots then do the same for my gloves. My feet smell absolutely awful but have never had an issue with my ski boots once I started doing this. You can get a pack of sheets, throw it in your trunk and it should last you an entire season.
I also use Burton socks, I am not sure if that makes much of a difference or not in terms of smell, but like I said my feet no longer smell in ski boots. They are always half off sometime around late summer on their website. Relatively thin, very warm, very comfortable and durable. I bought 4 pairs a few years ago and they still have no holes, etc.
