expand your taste beyond whats on the radio... i understand people like it but there are bangers out there that arent radio garbage that will move a crowd... another thing is stop and drop...dont do this unless it realllllllly sounds good ie dont just drop a massive bassline because its a massive bassline, figure out what it goes well with an lead into it

The fact that you don't consider electronic music 'music' is proof enough of your ignorance and inability to understand the traditions and sound of what you're doing. Go look up some ACTUAL electro music - Aphex, flashbulb, Villalobos, burial, etc. and see if you come back with that attitude.

That's because you're dj'ing, not being an electronic musician. It's not the same thing. Any fucktard with utorrent and some turntables can be a dj. Try creating your own music. You'd be surprised at how many instruments you need to be fluent with to be a proper electronic musician. Benn Jordan alone of Flashbulb plays drums, bass, a hell of a guitar, synth, keyboards, piano, and runs it through Ableton himself to create some of the best music produced in the last 20 years. It's not just sampling and re-filtering.

theres exceptions to everything
maybe this Benn jordan guy youre dick riding has some talent
so does Skrillex, he used to play in a sick metal band before he went electronic, but even skrillex says how he can sit on his computer and produce everything within hours

Afrojack for example (the first song i made on this was the song btw) made That song in 10 minutes before the show for diplo i think it was
thats what im getting at, its lazy.
