Music Blogs- What's wrong with them?

So i know most people have heard about thissongissick.com and I know a lot of people really don't like it. I started my music blog a few days ago and i was wondering what you guys thought was wrong with thissongissick.com so that I wouldn't make the same mistakes.

It'd be cool if when you went there you clicked on the ads on the side. It'd really help me out in the making the blog better. Hopefully if it gets big enough and enough peopleclick the ads I can get it it's own domain name.

I'm no expert and I actually kind of like thissongissick but one thing about them that pisses me off is that it seems that they never proof read their shit. There are always grammatical errors in their posts. I'm sure most people couldn't give a fuck less about that but whatever, I enjoy a well written write up of the song.

Also, the variety of the music posted is minimal to say the least. There is nothing that makes me want to go to thissongissick rather than say GoodMusicAllDay.com. Most blogs have the all the same songs posted so basically the one that posts the most songs is usually the one I'll gravitate towards.

I'd personally like to see a good music blog that covers a WIDE variety of music rather than, "here's a new song from Chiddy Bang" and "here's a SICK banger remix of an Ellie Goulding song!!1111ONE!" I know it would be a lot of work but why not post songs from other genres? Or make like whole categories withing the site for separate genres. A majority of people don't listen exclusively to the type of songs posted on thissongissick and therefore a lot of good songs that go unnoticed. If I could find one site the encompassed many genres I'd check it exclusively.

That's my 2 cents. Oh well, back to Pitchfork I go. (lolhipster)
