If you haven't checked it out already, head on over to the Salomon Jib Academy Online - http://newschoolers.com/ns/cult/contesth2h/id/3922/cid/1/
We are down to our final two! If you didn't catch that last round, you certainly missed out because let me tell you it was a doozy!
Though Bolduc's smooth style and impeccable rail skills were high... Alex's buttery smooth mastery of the air and his rail tricks took the judges favor. So in the battle of AB vs. CB - Alex Brown (aka YoungNigeria) beat out Christ Bolduc (aka christoski)
Kristaps Thompson (k.thompson) and Taylor Wilson (DownToFilm) had an insanely difficult to judge round. Both skiers showed solid air skills and an excellent mixture of rail mastery... leaving it simply a call for the judging panel. After a few days of deliberation though, Kristaps came out on top.
So after all that, we are now down to our finalists! Its the showdown of the century... and remember one of these guys is going to Mammoth for Jib Academy! How exciting of a prize is that?
Our final round is Alex Brown vs. Kristaps Thompson.
Both have a solid mix of airs and rails, with huge bags of tricks. With the way the current videos line up, I'm not sure who I'd pick as my favorite.... what about you?
Lets also hope that these guys have been saving some heat for the end, because they still have until April 2nd to upload a new video. It still could be either athlete!
TO MAKE THIS EVEN MORE EXCITING.... we are going to add a new layer to the contest... Blind uploads!
That means that both entries will be hidden until the upload phase finishes. Neither contestant will have any idea if the other has uploaded a new video until they go live for judging... you will simply see a blank screen where their round is supposed to be displayed.
So watch out, because on April 2nd, 2011, both videos will go live at the same second, and our panel of judges will make the call of who is going to Mammoth Mountain, California!!!
Who do you guys think is going to win?
If there's pow, ski it. If there isn't ski park.
Just don't stay at home when there's no snow and whine about park skiers.
