Anyone have any idea how you get advertisements on your videos?  If i somehow came up with something that went viral could i make some bucks off it?

i bet. i dont know exactly how, but kids like Rebecca Black and the Kid that fought the bully and threw him down are probably making bankroll. i mean do you think the girl is actually so stupid that she cant pick which seat to take in a 5 seat car with 4 people in it?? no. its just mass trolling. and its retarded how many people go and support that shit simply by watching it and then hating on it. i mean what do you think the person wants you to do?? shit.

anyway the answer is yes i bet you could make money.

you can become a youtube partner. basically if you have lots of video and lots of subscribers youtube will offer you money for every video you make, and its enough to live off of. pretty sweet deal, but i dont know about the one hit wonders like rebecca black.

you tube will contact you when they believe your video is worthy of an advertisement....there was the thread on here where the guy had us clicking his advertisement to get new skis or something haha.

For youtube to pay you the stuff has to be original content. Once youtube sees you're pooling in a lot of viewers they'll email you asking if you want to get paid, yada.yada. there's a few more rules but you can just google it.

Here is my money making video. Basically to enable ads your video must have over 10,000 views. If youtube doesnt send you a message by then, try applying for partenership. Oh and everytime you guys click the ads on my video I make 15-50 cents.

its all about riding other peoples success/major events. ex: parodies on rebecca black, first gameplay videos of newly released COD, minecraft, japan earthquake, 911 videos, etc

One thing i didnt mention is... The video must be 100% original content. A rebecca black parody cannot make money because it would be copyright infringement. Any song or footage that you do not own the rights to cannot make you money legally.

I have google adsense on a couple of my videos. they normally send you a message if you get over 10,000 views and then you can get ads on videos they approve.

its dec, im making like 100 bucks a month now and i think that will go up a bit in the summer cause all the ads are on cliff jumping vids.

set up an adsense account and see if you can set it up for your videos. but im pretty sure they have to contact you. As far as I am aware I cant log into adsense and check off more of my videos to receive ads, only ones they approve and want.

YOu either get partnered, which you apply for after you have 300+ subscribers. or you cant get on Google Adsense, which they will ask you to join. You cant have any copywrited material on your account.

People who don't realize ads are popping up sometimes think its related to what they're about to watch/read. Ever notice how when you watch a video on skiing sometimes ads come up about discounted goggles? People are interested and click it. It's pretty much like t.v. To answer your question with my personal experience, my ad was clicked on like 20 times a week, and this was on tumblr.
