DSLR Lens Help
I am using a T2i. I want to explore the video aspect and start using it to make edits. What is the best lens?I wanna go with a wide angle but avoid fish eye/distortion. Also has anyone used the Opteka X-Grip, how's does that preform while used skiing? Thanks +k for anything helpful.
Tokina 11-16 f2.8 is one of the best reticular wide angles out there.
That X grip is overpriced. Make your own or buy a glidecam and practice with it if you actually want smooth follow cams.

Yo! Taste my pain, bitch!
Thanks man I'm gonna look into it...I was also looking at the Rokinon FE8m-c 8mm f3.5. do you know anything about that?
That's a fisheye

"Hahaha so how exactly did it go down? You had your penis in her, but she wanted to do this "soaking" thing, so what happened? Did you just kinda hang out and talk while your dick was getting soft inside her?" -AR6rider$
17-40 is a waste on a crop. And the Canon 10-22 outperforms the Tokina and they're almost the same price I think; not to mention the longer focal length.
Also the sigma 10-20 is worth looking into, nice wide angle.
Personally I'd get a Samyang 14mm for 380$. MF only, but that doesn't matter as you're shooting video. Also the IQ is 10x better than any lens mentioned in this thread.
No. Tokina is much faster and has constant aperture.
