it was insane from the beginning, he had so much air throughout, and then he nailed the dub 10 on the last hit and it became mind blowing. cant believe they only gave him a 90 though, that run was ridiculous.

He was throwing the same Alley Oop Flat 5 already in Safety Meeting, I think he should change it up and remember that Crichton did it best anyway.

update, read the news story, switch dub wasn't grabbed, landed little backseat, rolland's run was flawless.

while i've gotta say i liked this run way better, and rolland threw the exact same run as at regular x, i understand why he won now.

Although Dorey's was impressive, run probably had fewer hits, the sw dub wasnt grabbed and landed a bit backseat..meanwhile if rolland did same exact run as winter x 15, then he had three fully grabbed dubs all stomped, while still maintaining a large amount of big hits

they both had 5 hits and the switch dub was nice and smooth compared to dumonts and it was stomped. definitely not backseat.

in case you didn't notice, that allyoop flat 5 was rightside. if you don't think that a righside allyoop flat 5 15 feet out of the pipe is sick then i don't know what i can say to explain how stupid you are.

Kevin deserved the win no question. His run was absolute perfection, grabbed 100% cleanly and totally stomped. Sure he's been winning with a similar run for 2 years but after stomping his first run which was enough for the win he came very close to stomping the following run, only hip-checking the last hit:

L dub flair mute-flat 3- sw L10- right dub flair (grabbed better than most peoples' natural dubs)-L dub 12.

trust me, if he needs it he has plenty of shit that will push him even further ahead.

Hall and Dumont (Dumont especially) would pretty much do the same runs time and time again until they had to change up. Hell, some of Dumont's hits look almost no different than they did 5 years ago.

Hey now, avatar insults, that's low. No, I didn't see your other posts. However, saying that an alley oop flat 5 is outdated is, in my opinion, not true. Like I've said, I've never seen it unnatural in pipe by anybody else, and you still see it done naturally in high level competions. The Wells brothers come to mind, and I believe a few others consistently do them as well. I can also say that on a tramp, unnatural flatspins are something that I just can't seem to grasp the rotation of. Relative to unnatural corks and regular unnatural spins, they are a lot more difficult.
