Editing programs for PCs

dont have a mac for the "imovie" so im trying to figure out how to make an edit with my sony laptop. any recommended programs?

sony vegas is a good program. fairly saimple to learn and easy to download

i would start learning on windows movie maker, ever pc has it, then after playing around with that see if you can torrent pinnacle studios thats what i use and its pretty good and then once you understand how to edit stuff then go look into vegas, vegas is the top of the line product, its called sony vegas, just torrent it cause i know you dont want to pay like a few hundred bucks for a video editing program. Hope this helped
