On a trampoline when i cork 7 (i spin to the right) i throw my arms from low left across my chest and over my right shoulder> I bring my knees up and grab my right knee with my right arm getting the rotation around. So I'm throwing the "cork" part backwards.
Heres me doing one...
at about 0:27 secs in green.
I've seen many tips and they say to throw you arms down and dip your head / shoulder. This to me seems opposite from what I'm doing...dipping down forward to me sounds like a bio. Can con someone straighten this up for me...I've been confused lol. I think i could do what i do on the tramp, what ever it is, on snow but just need some clearing up about what I'm doing and stuff. Thanks NS'ers
from the video one it looks perfect. just needa go bigger. just put that to skis on a nice table and it will be sick looking.
haha i apologize but i accidentally messaged myself (i'm mildly retarded)
Mike Wilson's Thought Process When Hucking.
"He does do PRECISION GUESSWORK based on vague assumptions and unreliable data
of dubious accuracy provided by questionable intellectual
capacity. And in the world of mike. He was going to land that. Thats what no one gets. "
You're thinking about it too much. Everything OscarRutt said is spot on. The only thing different on skis is that you're gonna feel the swing weight of your skis and you're gonna have to keep those in line and throw a little harder.
Let your body follow the angle of the lip up instead of how you would normally straight air, but don't lean back in your skis. That's going to get you set somewhat at the right angle. Then when you spin throw your arms as if you were going to do a normal 7, but look back and down for the lip which will initiate that axis. Or as OscarRutt said, you can pretend you're going to punch a midget and do that hand motion and look back for him.
If you think too much about the actual cork it's going to turn into a rodeo or a flat spin. Gotta trust yourself.
I work at Woodward and that's what we tell people anyway...
D-spins are so much easier to come out of too, because your setting more "back" so when your coming around your coming out of more of a backflip. Yeah there scary but look so dope and spotting landings are so much better. I think you should work on trying to get D's on tramp.
