I don't think I can embed but it's pretty much saying making plain cigarette boxes will stop people from smoking I think it's bullshit people don't smoke for the logos and such what do you think

yeah good question.. idk how i feel about it as i do enjoy the occasional cig and i used to smoke regularly, but do acknowledge the effects things like this have. consider me on the fence. someone convince me one way or the other, i dare you

Still a work in progress, from my understanding.

Basically they're worried about the boxes attracting the younger generations with their catchy colors and such. Sure the pack a day smoker will still buy a pack a day regardless, but at least less people will get into them.

The end of the video featured some British guy Chris Ogden of the Tobacco Manufacturer's Association who is opposed to the change because it "won't work" and because of something I couldn't quite understand about restricting the intellectual property of the companies. He was also worried that it will be easier to counterfeit. //warning bias// Frankly I thought he was full of shit, and can go fuck himself.

OH yea I forgot to mention, I'm not a smoker so I don't really know much about the whole aesthetic aspect of the box but I figured that people who are already addicted or just do it regularly won't change for aesthetics
