She doesn't have to cut to be loved. she's a cute, white girl. she basically has it easy. people will hate her because of that, but even more people will like her before even meeting her. it's natural; that's the way the world works.
Here's what I think the solution is:
Here's an attention whore. She is upset about her problems that happen to be the same as every single other girl's problems. And those will ALWAYS be a high school girl's problems. it's always been that way, and it always will be that way. there's nothing we can do to change that. girls are bitches (i would bet that she's mostly being called names by girls). But what we can do is let her know that all girls are going through that; it's nothing special. all girls have to deal with that, and a lot of them probably get really upset by it. but they have to learn to ignore it and rise above it and find somebody to talk to. there is always somebody, and talking in real life is much more helpful.
i agree that there needs to be more support for struggling teens. but we don't want to set the example that if you do something radical like cut yourself, you will automatically get the love, attention, and support that you need. that's setting a bad example that others will follow. she's getting EXACTLY what she wants, and if i were a girl with the same issues, i would probably follow suit. and that's fucked up. basically, her cutting got her what she wants. we have to promote that cutting won't get you anything; instead of posting a video like this on the internet, you should instead seek help.
nice analogy by the way, i lol'd. so true.
