Don't pump gas on March 14 2011. .In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in
Protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.50 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet
Network and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 14th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil company’s
Pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on March
14th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for
at least one day.

If you agree (which I can’t see why you wouldn’t) resend this to all your
contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on March 14"

Anybody that thinks NOT buying gas will lower prices is a fucking idiot.

Thats like hoping for a discount on weed when your the only customer of the dealer. The less people buy, the more things cost. Simple.

Well Im a history major so yeah I don't have the best economic knowledge. I also don't have a car so I guess this really doesn't effect me. I thought it was kind of a cool concept but what ever, if you economic minded people don't think that its going to work then fuck it I guess.

they wont give a fuck cus theyll know that you're gonna HAVE to go gas up the next day or soon afterwards. ya thats right, you HAVE to go get gas, wtf would you do without it? they realize how dependant we are on them and theyre fuckin milking it. anyone with a brain would do the exact same thing. and thinking a stupid protest like this is gonna change everything just makes you the biggest fuckin clown in the world.

What would be more productive than doing a retarded and ineffective "protest" would be to vote for people that encourage getting our own fucking oil. Like it or not, we'll be using the sweet sweet crude for a long time. Windmills aren't the fucking answer. Being so dependent causes us to be at the mercy of speculation when shit goes down in some shit hole like Libya.

it should also be noted that oil companies dont price the gas. hurrrrp a derrrrrrp


also, we should organize a nation BUY MORE GAS day when gas is cheap again (implying gas will go cheap again) as a way to show the oil companies (again implying oil companies price their product) that we appreciate cheap gas and put billions in their pocket one day. instead of taking it out. (using the same basic premise of the stop buying gas day) AHHDVIOUSLY the premise is wrong though.

Well right now gas prices are high because of the Libya crisis, not because of greedy companies. A gas protest isn't going to cause the price of oil barrels to go down and the gas company isn't gonna lower their prices after one day of less gas. They know if you don't buy it the 14th you'll probably buy it within the next week, you're still gonna buy gas, we need gas/oil we are dependent on it and until we break that dependency the gas prices will always be too high.
