No, because I'm not stupid to buy a $400 piece of shit suit. My friend owns this years suit and the jacket came with a broken button at the bottom and the pants only have 1 snow gaiter.

I will never buy any of these "premiere" ski brands outerwear like first drop, lethal descent, saga etc unless they are marked extremely down from the normal price. Im talking 80+ percent off. They are all such rip offs.

Other than FD, how is LDC and Saga a rip off? LDC and Saga are both good quality outerwear at a really good price. For $400 you can't get a better deal on a 3L 20/20k suit with the taller fit most skiers like. Same with LDC, except its 2L.

Wait till the things go rediculously on sale. And the things like LDC and Saga don't either so I never really by them. I've consistently found really cheap clothing at different stores either right before the new season starts or right after one has ended.

This past year I bought full Oakley outerwear from a store that was going out of business for 95% off. The year before that, I purchased an orage suit for 100$ at TJ Maxx during their ski sale.

What I'm trying to say is, if you are paying for your own stuff, its basically impossible to see purchasing Saga, LDC, or FD as an intelligent buying decision.

I work a minimum wage job, just like many other teenagers, it would take me about 62 hours to work off a Saga suit. Thats a little over 3 weeks working at the legal maximum for a teenager. Plus i have to pay for gas/insurance on my car which is just murder right now. Right now i pay 49 dollars a week on gas, thats 5 days of going to school plus one day skiing. Thats about 6 and a half hours of working per week. So id half to add that on to what i have PLUS insurance.

After insurance, I'd basically be at a point where I have to save for about 5 weeks, all of my money to buy a suit. There are other things you have to buy for skiing which are much more important like say boots, skis, or lift tickets. God forbid I'd want to buy some food or something on the way to skiing. When you actually have to buy your own things, and you have no one truly supporting you for skiing, it is really dumb to buy a suit.

Well if he go too school, i dont think he can find a job at 15$ or more ( he can but its hard) , when you work 20hour a week. Most part time jobe pay minimal wage or a little more.

Either gotta have a sweet job or care a lot about skiing. I've been broke some months because of my ski purchases, it was dumb in retrospect, but I did it anyways. You put the most important things in your life... well, first.

You are probably the dumbest person on earth, and its not like i don't put skiing first. I have outerwear that works and the equipment i have that affects my skiing the most, like my skis, boots, and bindings is all the best i can get. What i don't need to do, is drop 400 dollars on a suit that will not benefit me in any way over keeping me warm.

The 100 dollar jacket and 50 dollar pants will do that just as well normally. For example the Saga waterproofing test where they went into a car wash, how often do you need THAT much waterproofing? I tend to not ski through high pressure hoses, but hey im weird.

I'm not upset that no one feels bad for me. Im just a bit tired of all the lil 12 year olds coming into a thread like this and saying OMG such a good sale, or just saying id rather pay the full price for saga because this is crap. But honestly no one is paying for anything.

There aren't many people who truly support themselves who are buying these name brands. I don't care what anyone does with their money, go ahead and spend it on this stuff. How many true ski bums do you see wearing new 200+ dollar jackets? Not that many, and if they are, its nearly always because they got a rediculous deal on it.

i could say the same about oakley corked suit this year even if I know it's probably a little bit better quality jacket. I remember a thread where this guy posted the picture of his jacket that was missing button. Still, hating on FD doesn't make you cooler. I'd listen to your more carefully if only you'd have had some FD stuff in the past.

BTW the logo does look like a dick
