Jon Olsson anounced another 4 invited riders for JOI

4 more JOI riders…

Thought it was time to release a few more names that I would love to have over at JOI.

1. Jacob Wester.
A lot of people was wondering where he was in the first round of invites, but I figured that how much fun would it be if we released all names right away. of course we want to see Jacob in Åre, and the hopefully land one of his dub 16… [IMG]joinvitational.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif[/IMG]

2. LJ Strenio
LJ is Crazy, LJ is good, I like LJ!

3. Gus Kenworthy
I feel that its time for Gus to get out of the “video qual category”, he has proven himself over and over and its time to get a real solid invite!

4. Phil Casabon
Every event needs the style of Phil, so does JOI!

Dude, you need to calm the fuck down. I said he shouldn't be invited because he doesn't have a chance to win. Yes I like watching him ski, but I also like to watch Borgan, should Brogan be there? No. While Brogan isn't as good as Phil, it is a fair comparison in the fact they can't double.

If you are in a comp, you should have a legitimate chance at winning, and without a double he doesn't.

I think Candide Thovex should be invited to everything. Especially this. I know he has not been in the main, main stream, working on other projects and due to injuries. But, he is incredible. Boom

any double cork grabbed mute are all in my opinion the most overrated tricks in skiing. How many people can do sw 12s dub japan? 5 people, 7 maybe. How many skiers can do a double cork and grab mute? 100-200, a shit load of people do them. Can you guys realize how technical a sw 1080 truck driver is??? Bobby. Russ, Gus, Elias, Schlopy, Wallisch, Jossi, etc, they all cant do that trick. WHY? because the only grabs they focus on are either mute, guitar (a gayer mute grab in my opinion), and japan. BOOOM

um... im pretty sure bobby, russ, gus, elias, schlopy, wallisch, and jossi could ALL do a switch 10 truck.  Actually I'm like 95% sure ive seen wallisch do one. 

And i'm also extremely positive more than 7 people in the world can do sw 12 dub japan.

Wait, just noticed this too... so you like double japan and truck driver, but single japan isn't cool?  Now im confused.

Well shit if you are 95% sure that you have seen wallisch do one then can you please tell me why he never does it, and that the only tricks we see him do at park shoots are the same tricks he does in competition?
You claiming that all those people could do sw 10 trucks is pretty much like claiming that all those people could do sw 10 octos, which is not true because we have only seen anders and charles do it.

yo Phil Casabon is in a league of his own. I'd rather see someone focusing on making every single trick look fuckin amazing and steezy as fuck than someone who just keeps doing the same dubs as all the other competitors

this is pretty stupid. a double 12 is harder than a cork 9. simple as that. why would a trick that isnt as hard win a big air comp where technicality is a gigantic factor? your thoughts are also completely unoriginal and have been stated over and over on this site since before i joined.

b-dog and e-dollo are the only reason i watch the xgames anymore. i know it sounds trend whorish and cliche, but if i wanted to watch people doing wirlybirds with a metal rail tap somewhere in middle and double cork 12 high mutes, then i could just watch edits on youtube or in the top rated section here. it's hard to be original and different with a double. also, double japans and truck drivers are some of the hardest grabs out there and phil makes them look easy even with super technical tricks.

why do people love b&e and TC so much? they bring new tricks to the table, time and time again. it's refreshing to watch a TC edit thats all about having fun, skiing with your friends, and doing the weirdest jibs, or an episode of B&E with the most innovative taps, presses, shifties and shuffles, as well as smooth style.

I really hope its the same format that it used to be. Liek best 180 best 360 so on and soo forth. That way b dog can have just as good as a chance and say bobby or elias. Thats why it was my favorite comp because of forced skiiers to get back into the roots and creativity of the sport rather than throwing dub 16s.

yeah i mean what is jon thinking? its not like he's ever put on a big air event before, much less THE big air event of the season, every season for like 7 years. i mean, how should he know what is going to make a comp better, more interesting, or more fun to watch?

how pretentious of jon to invite a wide variety of skiers with different bags of tricks. its almost like he's trying to show off some cool fucking skiing for once.

I would be willing to put money on the fact that Bdog can most definitely dub if he tried.
He is such a good technical skier and if you watch any of the more recent B&E episodes. If he wanted to he could ski like elias and bobby, but what is the point of using the same, generic "style". And no, he isn't hucking dub 12 mutes, but he is doing other tricks that no one else is doing, and they are just as hard if no harder than a dub 12. And he does it all with some of the best style in the whole sport.

Also, FUCK YEAH LJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS no hate to bobby and elias, they are both great skiers, and im glad to see that bobby is getting a little steezier


PPS If I remember correctly, Jon said when he announced it that you can't do the same trick twice and a Dub 12 mute won't be even close to a winning trick
