Wow, that is almost word for word exactly the same thing that happened to me last winter, except I only skied down to the lodge before collapsing in pain and ski patrol coming and helping me out (Mad props to ski patrol, you guys are sick!).
Ended up going down to the hospital in an ambulance and being stuck on a backboard for what felt like hours (fucking sucks..) and also getting diagnosed with t12 compression fracture.
Main thing I just wanted to let you know TAKE CARE OF YOUR BACK in recovery, make sure you do physio etc, and take it easy/don't over do it. I still have pain in my back this season sometimes, I think mainly due to the fact that I thought I was fine in the summer and had a job which required strenuous lifting for hours at a time and also not watching my posture Did have one upside though, back injury made me unfit for military service in Germany, fuck the draft haha.
