How to open poc receptor bug vents/ go pro issuse

So i everytime i eat shit my go pro falls off when using the curved sticky mount. is there anyway to open the vents on a receptor bug to fit the strap made for vented helmets?

thats what i was afraid of, any tips for a creative way to mount it so i dont lose it when i fall? the mount always pops off

there are a few other mounts you can buy that will make it stay good.

have you tried using rubbing alcohol when putting it on? my gopro mount stays on my bug fine after numerous falls.

where are you mounting it at? im going right in between the first and second vents on the front, both falls ive had while wearing it were heelside which is why i cant figure out why im losing it

sand the spot down a little and use rubbing alcohol on it. let the mount set for 24 hours inside. ive had the same one for 2 seasons and have landed straight on my head with the gopro on and it's been fine.

Well it worked form me, all my POV are with this. You get use to the ''double'' strap from the cam + your goggle

Surprisingly, the coal miner mount with the rubber on the strap is pretty good. The chest mount sucks, don't use it.

ive used the headstrap in waterparks and was very pleased, idk if its ski worthy though

just put a little string like a froshing string to your gopro and your poc, i have had no problems with it.

before mounting the sticky helmet mount (i hope you used the curved helmet mount and not the flat mount)
clean the spot with some rubbing alcohol/roughen it up with some sandpaper...

then apply mount at roomtemperature and press it on for at least 5 minutes, then let it cure for at least 24 hours, applying pressure every now and then.... (still at room temp !)

the thing should be quite bombproof by then ....

if that doesnt work, the headband works great on helmets, i used to give it to friends who dont have a mount on their helmet and it works great !

and last resort => chesty mount ?

I've used my head strap mount a lot too and it works fine, no slipping at all
