Stuck in the middle of a ski too big and too small

Alright so im 5'6/7 and 140

I currently ride 171 anthems which(in my opinion) are the ideal height for me. Im looking into getting moment rockers and they only come in 168 and 178

i feel that the 178 would be too big and the 168 much too small.....any opinions??

Damn im the same height and weight as you. So im assuming your the same age 14.
your going to grow get the 178 or if your that concerened look into ON3P blue steel 171 they have rocker too. Just pm Ginko. he'll tell you whats up

nah im actually 17 haha. Im just short, my doctor says he still thinks im going to experience some growing but it wont be much. If i was 14 id get the 178's for sure because id definetly grow into them.

And yea ive been looking into the blue steeles and i think they are a siicck ski but i can get the rockers for cheaper right now and i like how they have a wider waist

tough call, in my opinion 178 still seems a little too big. Im the same height and 178 would be wwaay over head

i would get the 178. they have rocker so they ski shorter.

It's all a matter of personal preference and skiing ability. For instance, my little bro who's like 5'5" rocks 189 rockered pow skis and shreds in trees. Seriously, rocker makes em ski soooo short.

alright so i hopefully wotn regret my decision of 178's??

i mean i dont havvvee to get these, if it wasnt meant to be it wasnt meant to be. Im only going to get them if 178 is really doable, keep in mind im 165 ish cm tall

where do you live? The Rocker is an awesome ski but in the 178 length which is pretty long for you (not crazy long as it is rockered) and would feel really unstable at that length on really hard snow. If you are from the east coast the rocker just doesnt have the sizing for you. If you life somewhere with consistently okay snow where you wont have that same crazy chatter you can get from the east coast then you will be happy with the 178

If you're thinking 171's are ideal.. Why go shorter? Rocker will make the ski, ski a little shorter, plus, gives a bit of room to grow into them.

this is probably the best adivce ive heard so far, its unfortunate because i want the rockers super bad but the sizing just doesnt really work for me.

178 will be fine, especially with the rocker, im 5 10, but i only weigh about 150 and i have no problem skiing skis that are up into the 190s, 178 will be fine.

If you're currently on 171's a rockered 178 will in no way shape or form be too much ski for you. You're seriously stressing on not going bigger at all and I have no idea why.

well its not that im stressing its just that i dont want to invest some good money in skis, pay for expensive shipping to canada only to get them and figure out that theyre too big.
