a flotrack interview of Erik from a while back. and the link was posted already, but his post race interview is pretty good. funny as hell.

now Erik gets to go to the big dance as he received an AUTO for NCAA D1 Nationals. would have been crazy if he ran at UW Husky Classic, where he would have been up against some stiffer competition. but 3:57 is one hell of a time.

claim: while all these collegiate races were happening, i watched Bernard Lagat capture the American Indoor 2 mile record in a time of 8:10.07 (split 4:08 for the first mile, and then 4:02 for the second mile).
