I need help with frontflips!

what do i need to do different? dont tell me i need a bigger jump, ive seen people do it on much smaller jumps. i need tips for fronts!
and trick tip forum doesn't help

Advice: drive your heals back you only initiated from your shoulders up. you need to tuck up more to after you drive your heals back.

They're called punch fronts, so punch and then curl up in a ball and grab your knees. When you come around open up and stomp.

Throw your arms when you are leaning in, and jump with leg and throw your other leg back.  Then tuck and look through your legs for your landing.

instead of just throwing down. throw forward(front) and actully pop of the jump. and tuck those knees right in

Put one ski slightly in front of the other, and put all your weight on you back ski. when you get to the beginning of the jump, throw the flip by throwing your arms and kicking your heels up. curl up in a ball, when you see the horizon extend. Stomp.

But just like said, remember to actually pop with your feet, and you should get them without many problems. Once you get them down they are really easy, and super fun as well.

hey dont worry i did the same exact thing when i started to learn frontflips. if you try pulling one ski back (buttering) right before you start it will help with your pop and start your rotation after that just tuck and dont freak out midair just stay calm and get fully around then stomp that shit

you have to load up your nose (one ski, your stronger, should be about 6 inches in front) on the jump and release it at the lip.

Then punch both hands forward so that you are superman for a moment.

Then thrust your hands down and curl yourself up.

Finally you will feel when its time to open up.

so your hands should basically go straight out then arch down.

I learned them the same way, in my backyard and im pretty comfortable with them now.

the biggest problem was that you were just throwing yourself at the ground basically, pop a lot then throw, the same with any other trick.

You need to start your flip earlier, your basically rolling of the end of the jump

when you go off a smaller jump it doesnt hurt to kick(bring one ski up and kick it down) one of your skis and then you some what spring off of the other ski; its a little hard to explain. over big jumps you just lean and roll but on something like that try a little kick

when your doing smaller jumps like this, and this one looks like it can kick you back a bit, you need to "stagger" your feet. I think p00nslayer already mentioned this but but one ski in front of the other and put your weight on your back ski.

When you come up to the lip, transfer your weight to your front ski and tuck.

get a bigger jump!! hahah its hard to learn on small jumps like that expecially to flat. Also try poping with your nose beffore going off the jump, thats what helps me get more hight and flip.

BEcause do you see where he is popping in comparison to you he's actually popping before he gets to the lip, where as you are just rolling of the lip

Unlike that kid in the video you shouldn't start your rotation while still going down the inrun... wait til you hit the transition and pop as you punch forward and then tuck hard, but make sure the tuck is tight so you don't lose any teeth if you land in your tuck.

Add more of a transition (curve) to your jump and tuck a ton more, use the momentem of your arms to help you swing your body around.

you need to pop into the flip. rather than just bend over and expect it to happen. tucking in helps speed up the flip. ever see people do them and kind of drag one foot behind, like they flip with one foot first and the other follows?i tried it a few times and it seems easier.

yea dude popping is the hardest things on fronts. you got to pop before the lip. its a weird thing to do but it works

thanks to everyone that helped me learn frontflips, today i went back out, fixed up the jump with more kick and made a soft landing.

after a while of preparing i threw my first attempt and got 3/4 way around!!! i made sure i poped and pressed my noses into the jump before the lip.

i did about 3 or 4 more getting closer, i almost landed it, itwas extremely close but my landing SUCKED, b/c u just sunk in.

im sure i will be able to do it in the park tho!!!
