Is there still problems with Salomon skis?

I bought a pair of Salomon suspects 09-10 for ski season this year and 2 foot of edge pulled out. I sent them in for warranty and got this years suspects. I was wondering if ill have the same problems with the edge or if they fixed that problem.

I already bought Armada AR7s but my friend told me hed buy my new skis and i dont want to sell it to him if they're going to get fucked up like my old ones.

that is literally what my friend did when he got a pair of salomons off of warranty.
