so, this is a claim thread, but I'm real happy about it, thought NS would understand.

Also, I did not have vid or pics, because I forgot to grab my gopro, but whatever, doesn't matter, I did it for me.

Landed a 1080 yesterday at Copper Mountain. Its a trick that I never thought I'd get, but its been kind of my skiing holy grail for the last 5 years. Now, I've finally got it dialed!

Feels good to finally nail it. That's all, not too big a deal, just wanted to share the stoke!

I landed my first backflips a couple weeks ago, been wanting to do those since last season, finally have them down! Underrotated one and scratched up my face pretty bad though,at least I had fun doing it.

i finally did switch 180s and i believe i've figured out how to get my 3s smoother
also close to getting blind 270s

basically you lean foreward and start spinning, maybe pop just a little bit. im on revivals which are reverse camber so that makes it a little easier but the biggest thing is just committing. hope this helps a little

its really really hard to explain, i would start them on rollers, and just do 3s with nose drags.

yea i raced for like 3 years (which isnt much) but i was top half usually so i have a pretty decent amount of edge control. butters are mostly just practice and balls tho

congrats bro. know the feeling. just last week I stomped my first 9. Lol I was feeling good the next run and thought I could go for the 10 also....well turns out I set too hard and spun out of my ski. Lol that was the end of my day.

going from (i presume) a three to seven in one weekend is crazy, i would love to have that happen. im barley at 5's (never really gotten past 450 with a butter out) and i finally got the chance to work on them with a decent jump last weekend, was stoked that i at least had the opportunity to try them again. if i can consistently land at least 2-3 of the flips i have tried i would be so happy though, so i guess thats my goal.

That's the beauty of butters, they're all about the edge control. Put a little weight over the edges of your tips, and watch yourself spin.

Before I lost weight, and when I had Anthems, I used to butter off everything, because using the tips was super easy, and super responsive to even the slightest change in body position, or shift in weight.
