Just wondering if any people think that SOME ski movies today are getting a little boring to watch? Just watched the Solomon Freeski TV episode about how ski movies dont have any drama anymore. Personally I think they could be spiced up with some stuff, even just interviews would be cool.
have you seen a ski movie in the past 3 years? pretty much every single one has some sort of interview.
yeah maybe for like 30 seconds, they're usually not too long
It's hard man. for every person out there who says they want to see ski movies change there's another who want's them to stay the same. Change is slow because when companies find a formula that sells they don't want to risk losing their audience by changing it.
maybe if they were good or funny interviews. i literally won't watch them any more in most movies, just skip right past them. "oh man skiing is just soo fun, it's like youre flying... without gravity.. yeah it's awesome"
that or inside jokes are NOT INTERESTING to watch
ive never gotten bored watching a ski movie. ever.
Me neither..........exept for maybe a Warren Miller...
"If you don't do a double cork 1260 this year, you'll be one year older when you do.
The last few years of warren miller movies bore the crap out of me.
The folks getting more in to the full experience and beauty of skiing are where its at. Sweetgrass is doing this. And can't wait for All.I.Can from sherpas
Also I like it when you mix in the park with the freeski as well. Just one or the other doesn't seem like a complete flick to me.
agreed, when I said "some" I pretty much meant warren miller haha. There are without a doubt some sick films still coming out. I usually enjoy the independent ones i.e. Nimbus. Gonna miss them for sure
