I'm going out west with my dad I think, and he wants to switch things up. I went to Alta/snowbird for 3 days when I was 12(now 15). He was thinking about the canyons but what do you guys think. I'll have to talk to him since I cant really tell him "hey were going here." Just let me know what you guys think! I'm looking for basically all powder and some cliffs, so dont be like theres sick 30 foot cliffs at so and so. WEll just let me know!

alta is amazing, powder sounds sick, never been though and the canyons is huge. they have tons of open, natural, backcountry-ish terrain. canyons is confusing becasue it is so big, takes a long time to get from the base to an area and by the time you get there you take one run and its time to make your way back for lunch. if you go to canyons you HAVE TO SKI CANIS LUPIS! super tight natural halfpipe, its a riverbed thats freezes over. its the funnest trail in the world

rent a car and stay in slc. hit up alta/snowbird for a day, and get over to ogden and hit snowbasin and powder, and then decide which is your favorite for the 4th day. snowbasin is generally tighter, with less wide open terrain, and tons of really fun trees off the john paul lift. there's some fun cliffs in that area too. powder is more open, less steep, but really fun and flowy with lots of little rocks and drops to pop off of, and you can upgrade your lift ticket and get a run of cat skiing for like an extra $12. it's one of my favorite places in utah, and i've been to pretty much everywhere out there except for the areas in big cottonwood.

Powder Mountain is super sick, also hit up Solitude if you are looking for something that is similar to the bird, but smaller and less known
