Importing .mts or .cpi into Premere cs5 pro

My friend has a panasonic HMC 150 and It only puts out .mts or .cpi file types and is trying to import them into premer CS5 but it won't accept the file types

Are there any plugins for premiere that would allow the importing these types of files?

Try deleting the cpi. files and only importing the ,mts files. I have adobe premier pro cs5 without any plug ins, and have no problems importing mts.

cpi (clip info) contains various information on the clip (time, date... etc). It's only needed if you plan on playing back directly from the cam, or transferring directly to disk.
