Knee injury recovery question

over the past few years i dislocated my knee cap 4 or 5 times. physio didn't help so had surgery to realign the patella. pretty traumatic operation but its been 5 weeks and its feeling good. still in a brace thats almost identical to that one being worn by TJ since he did his ACL the other day. i get off the crutches in a few days.

anyway, has anyone had an injury like this? how long did it take you to get back on skis afterwards and more importantly how did it feel? unstable or anything? im in australia so our season doesn't start til june which is good (no northern winter for me this year)

i torn my acl back in april but luckily I had the whole summer to recover. let it take it's time. to some pt, on your own or not. If you don't get on the slopes before march who cares dude, you've got your whole life ahead of you with good knees instead of this season with bad ones.
