not so much epic in the sense of blowing me away with it's sheer awesomeness.

But one year my parents bought me skis (despite assuring me I wasn't going to be getting skis) and they lay them down so each ski was covered by the tree mat/other shit, then carefully cut 2 slits in wrapped box, and put the tips through into the box. So here I was opening this nicely wrapped, super heavy little box, and when I finally opened it...just saw 2 ski tips and shit myself with surprise/marvel at their brilliance.
