I got hurt exactly 9 days ago and I'm just getting some range of motion back. I have no health insurance at the moment so going to get it checked out isnt really an option. I think I may have partially torn my rotator cuff and or tweaked one or more ligaments in there. June mountain opens thursday and I live right next to it, I know I can't ski but I'm really jonesin to get back on my skis. My moms is a doc so I have all the medical advice I need; however, I am curious to hear what others who have been in a similar situation have for advice.
Get an EVS sport shoulder brace...they hold everything in place pretty well, but don't expect it to stop any further injuries like dislocations. I busted my shoulder 2 yrs ago and it's still real messed up even after surgery, but my evs brace really helps when I'm biking and skiing. Shoulder injuries suck so much.
the cool thing is now it can pop out of joint super easy over the next few years like mine do! (both last week again!)
what the fuck is that supposed to mean?
I thought I might add that it doesnt pop out of the socket and I dont think it ever did, I just hyper extended my arm.
