Who the hell is "Uncle E"?

You may find this thread lame but i'm dying to know...

When I watch the X games the announcer always mentions this "Uncle E" guy. Does anyone know what i'm talking about? Is he like some retired pro or innovator?
WHO IS "UNCLE E" ????
Please help me out a bit, i'm sorry about being vague but i don't know anything about it.

Uncle E is Chris Ernst, he's the man. Been involved with freeskiing since the very start and was a badass shredder himself back in the day.
