Front Flip Under Rotate Shin Pop

So today i attempted a front flip off a smallish jump just kind of messing around. There was some solid powder type snow on the makeshift landing. Anyways I threw it and under rotated. My tails dug in i guess and the back of by boot shot into my calf and made a loud pop sound. Now the fronts of my shins feel all funny and hurt along with deep bruises on my calves. Anyone else ever experience this at all or am i crazy?

Hopefully tomorrow ill be able to walk.

there is buckles for a reason on boots so you can tighten them up

You broke your shins.


If you try to walk on them any more, they will start to grind and you will start to get shorter.

so, was it your buckles undoing and/or plastic breaking, or your tibia and fibula splitting in half? probably the former.

you definitly  broke your shins. both of them are shattered that happened to a friend of mine. sucked balls cause he thought he was fine until the next tday and he was 3 inches shorter. its some facture that u dont feel it but u just get shorter......you probably hit your skis together in air or your boots together

measure yourself now, then walk around and go to sleep. When you wake up, measure your height and see if there is a problem.

Broken shins aren't  a big deal. If you're over 6ft, the inevitable height loss won't result in you being thaaaaat short.

shins are weird, you smack your skateboard into them and it hurts like hell but if you fracture them from pressure through the back of your legs you probably won't even notice it. Get to the doctor and limit your walking, bone grinding is irreversible and you probably don't want to get a couple inches shorter.

Yeah, minimize any height loss. You might be shorter already, don't let it continue.

thats all bullshit i just broke my tib and fib a month ago and it was the most painful experience of my life you probablly just bruised the bone. go to a docter and get an x-ray thats the best thing you could do

If you tug on your shinbone and can feel it moving forward, that could signal an ACL tear. That could explain the pop, too.

Get it checked out.

I had a similar thing one time.

I popped a 180 on my race ski's, I landed in soft snow, my tails dug in and both binding parts on the back popped out of the rail. Just a HUGE shock and my bone really hurt, along with a lot of pain in my calves; nothing serious though. You'll be ok in 3 days. It's just that because of the super fast shockwave you have huuuge myalgia.
