Why Bustin's are the best [with longboard pornzz]

So as some of you may know, im a pretty big fan of Bustin Boards and I will rep them until the day I die. Back in April I decided it was a good time to pick up a new Strike.

When I received it I noticed that it was diving to the left pretty hard. I decided it was probably no big deal and decided to keep it all summer. Well about a week ago Bustin made a post on facebook about suggestions for next years line. I stated that my strike was diving left.Hard.less than 10 minutes later I get an email from Bustin asking for information and pictures of my board from an aerial view.

They determined that it was a warped tail and asked me if I wanted a quickship Strike or a custom identical to the one i had. I had just ridin a Maestro that my friend had, and decided to ask and see if they would send me one . 3 days later this shows up at my door

I rip the box open to discover that instead of packing the box with newspaper, they put 4 t-shirts, 6 issues of concrete wave, 5 calendars, and about 100 stickers in there.

I naturally mounted it within minutes and i can say this is the FASTEST, SMOOTHEST, BEST longboard I have ever ridden.

The best part of the whole thing is i got to keep my strike as wall art. I encourage everyone looking for a longboard to get a Bustin, you will definitely not be disappointed!!

That's so sick man! I wanted to order a board for myself but I didnt have enough money this summer. Definitely saving up for next summer.

damn dude thats a sick story. i got sent something like that from dna after i asked for stickers.

i got like 30 stickz, a t-shirt, 1 copy of long story short, realtime, and shanghai six, then an autographed poster from max kuszaj.

I personally dont think the longboard really matters, i mean you say fastest, you really think that long board is any faster than any other piece of plywood on wheels? you also say smoothest, i figure the softer your wheels are the smoother the ride will be, but too soft and they will slow you down. If someone said their board was diving to the left i would think your bushings in the trucks were messed up or somethin like that.

The fact they they sent you all that stuff is real cool. My brother has a bustin and i ride it often and like it alot, but im not convinced its better than any other longboard.

I didnt change my trucks, wheels, bearings, or bushings, they are the same ones as were on my strike. I disagree, thats like saying that skis perform differently just because of bindings and the stiffness of the ski and flex patterns do not make a difference, after ridding neversummers, sector9's, and loadeds I can say that everyboard will ride differently with the same hardgood setup, I just like Bustin's the best

personally iv never been a fan of bustin, especially the strike (or is it stryke??) but man that is legit. they are getting big fast. and that new board they sent you looks pretty sick, looks like the nine two five minus the fact is doesn't have gas pedals

I just love how snowbaordy Bustin's feel, the Maestro really upped the bar in terms of my expectations of how a board rides, it is sososososo responsive, it feels like a park snowboard, id compare it to that of a Lib

iv never really snowboarded much so dont really know the feeling. iv been working on a new type board, just basically sketches now and a half assed prototype but in theory is should ride a lot like a longboard in terms of how it will carve and feel under foot and should be able to have mad control over it and be able to slide it, it will also have an adjustable turning radius. thats all the info i can give out. but i know its gonna be siiick. another passion project of mine is a few designs iv been throwing around my head for some longboards, i got a brand name, five boards all with killer names, all for a different style of riding and some catchy marketing phrases for each one. My mom (a horrible dream squashing woman) told me "id never get rich off my pipe dreams" well, im sure as hell going to try

thast actually a lie. my buddy got a bustin and i have a loaded. his board is soo much fun not the best wheels with stock. but still super smooth.

hats off to bustin man! me and my roomate both got strike's when we moved to utah for commuting around campus and they were the funnest boards in teh world..such a dope company to work with im a huge fan

why? because you have a loaded? have you ever ridden another board? not only do i like my bustin more than my loaded, but i also like my legendary more than the loaded as well. i think that loaded is way overhyped.

hahahaha i wish some fellow 'fish members would chime in to this... bustin has such a bad rep, and they make some of the worst quality boards in the business.

care to elaborate? i've heard nothing but good things about bustin, got one for my best friend for his 18th and he loves it. it seems like everyone who has one is in love with it. how do they have a bad rep?

I've got a bustin too, I have a spliff with paris 150's, bones super reds, and the white bustin wheels 67mm  84a. I wanted to try that board you got but I ended up with the spiff case it's small and easy to get around campus with.I want to try a maestro mini. When I go home I'm gonna stop by their shop and give one a shot.

why does bustin have a bad rep? or is it the same kind of bad rep that happens to lots of stuff on NS? Must be if it's on a forum. I like my board, my brother likes his, my cousin likes his, others I talked to like theirs...

Is that maestro a completely stiff deck?
If not screw it, you can't go fast on non rigid decks, so whats the point?!
I would take a Rayne nemesis, killswitch, Isis, Earthwing mystery model/super model, Landy 9 two 5, drop speed, switch and soo many more that i would take over that board lol.

It's sick they hooked you up, but i think their boards are kind of wack.

Ive had so much more speed wobble on a Earthwing than i have on a bustin, this board destroys hills, it feels like a snowboard, its amazing

oh and I don't just skate around campus. i'm not a bro with a longboard, I bomb hills and carve too. was out from like 12pm-2am last saturday. no cars is the best.

the thing with loaded is theyre just too flexy, i dont feel comfortable on them at all, especially when bombing or carving hills

its also more difficult to push on a flexy board because it flex's when you push and takes a while to get used to, al least it did for me anyway

Yeah but a loaded board costs twice as much.

Personally I'm a fan of Original but obv you can't really bomb hills with them I have a KS for that.

Pretty sick of Bustin doing all that. I almost bought their dropdeck but then just got a KS instead.

uhh speed wobbles arent due to the board, rather your ability to maintain a steady tuck... just as in skiing, the rider makes the equipment. secondly, it feels like a snowboard? how does that that differentiate it from any other board... try non RKP trucks like bennetts or hybrid indies on ANY other board and get back to me.

the main complaints bustin is that they use super awkward wedging in their decks (horrible fracture points), and the camber dies away super fast, leaving you a floppy maple noodle.

1. I got speed wobles on an Earthwing where i dont get wobles on a bustin or a tan tien, or dervish. i guess its just preference
2. get on a park snowboard or a Lib Tech with horsepower and tell me a bustin doesnt feel identical.
3.i dont have the money to spend on bennetts
4. i had about 35 miles on my Strike with no loss of camber

I ride a KS board. Its so much better than my first sector 9 board. Sure it took a day to get used to the flex but I love it. I haven't experimented much with different boards much because really none of my friends longboard.I think the point of this thread was for OP to hype about his new stuff. It shouldnt turn into a "This board is better thread". And OP you're doing a really good job at backing your statements up haha.

meh, im just shocked at how people flock to the worst brands (completely imo :P)... KS might be a good deal, but wtf is with that shitty peace of wood holding together your dropthroughs?? great, it lowers your trucks, why not buy a 1/4" soft riser which does the same thing... better. didnt quote the op, but 35 miles in nothing, not to mention that camber is a completely fucked up idea. why not get rocker or drops which actually aid in pushing? wtf does making the ride height taller do?... bouncy ride? when you step on camber it evens out/sags leaving mega stress on the wood, which will become floppy as (insert sexist joke)over time. /rant

i donno, food for thought.

Yeah I've got the S6 trucks (the smallest ones) with the loosest springs on their 28" board. Thing is mass amounts of fun. Feels just like snowboarding and doing tech slides on it is orgasmic. You can do a 180 degree turn in a parking spot easily. Once you ride it a lot and get used to it you start riding it differently. Because of the tension in the spring you can lean your center of gravity out way off the board. It gets to the point where if I ride it a lot and then get on my KS board I'll go into a turn, lean out too far, and just fall off the board. Just a whole different experience.

eeeehhhhhhhhhhhh.... I used to have a dervish and dont get me wrong i loved the thing. BUT i have riden bustins and they are very sick also. Their flex pattern is weird and does take some getting used to but they are up there with loaded. And personally i would take a bustin because of how much cheaper they are and how you can personalize what the graphic is.
