i dont know what my legit best time is but probably between 36-40 hours back when i was a kid and we would pull all-nighters to be cool and shit

I work on Sunday nights (23 to 7am) as a cashier in convenience store so I usually don't sleep that night before going to school ( 2 hours max)

And on Monday night, for no reason, I haven't been able to sleep.

At 22h eastern time, I reached 50 hours without sleeping. (if it's not clear, it's beacause I'm really tired and can't really express myself well haha)

I've done like 30ish but i mean thats just staying up one night not a big deal. I want to see how long i can stay up sometime in the future, when i have no job or responsibilities. I think i could stay up for a LONG time.

40, flew from seattle to frankfurt germany, drove 6 hours in a snow storm to stuttgart that should have only take 2, then went to get all my military shit and then just couldnt sleep from the 10 hour jet lag time difference.

Only time I went more than 2 days that I can remember was bonnaroo.


Something like 65 ish straight, then 2 hours, then another 24. Kind of like that the whole time, Luckily I pulled over half way home and slept for like 5 hours. Wouldn't have made it.


The worst is when you're so fucking tired but you either can't sleep, or theres something keeping you from sleeping. It's almost painful to stay away. You feel all spacey.


Oh yeah and drugs are bad, mmkay

63 or so. Shit is F-U-N if you're doing it on purpose. I can't imagine what a week long insomnia would feel like, probably a hellish experience and you'd end up killing someone if not yourself!

i know, flying overseas and being jet lagged is like that, im super tired but you cant fall asleep, you end up just stairing at the wall.

I've definitely made it past 24 hours, and realistically without much hesitation I can say I've done 32 hours awake, BUT I hit this sort of wall where my body is like yeah uhh we're going to just keep yawning and shit.

At first this all starts when you've been up for 17-20 hours, and maybe you can't get to sleep and you feel wide awake, and than as hours creep on and you get to hours 27-34 and you are beginning to fall asleep way too easily and everything but staying up sounds fun.

This was done without the aid of drugs that speed you up or caffeine.

Do it. Some day, any day you have nothing to do and want to waste the whole next day sleeping and than waking up at like 8pm and your whole sleep schedule is fucked up.



The trick on the sleep you take after you've been up such a time is to nap for like 4-5 hours and than wake up....and than force your ass to sleep.

What about what is the longest time you were asleep. I definitly did a whole day without even knowing. I had no one home during the week-end, we partyd hard until like 6 in the morning and then, woke up at like 8 the next day. I was FUCKED UP by that night. Seriously.

I don't know, I don't sleep at lot, I can have little to no sleep and feel perfectly fine. But 50 hours straight was hard. Sometimes, my senses would drop me like blurry vision or I couldn't feel my feet. It was weird, like if I was high. I was also a little bit paler than normal but people said to me it wasn't really apparent. My mood was changing dramatically all day. One hour I could be so happy and energetic and the other, I felt like shit and wanted to die. Classes were horrible on the afternoon, so hard to concentrate. My legs were jumping and I couldn't do anything. I had bad nauseas and swetty palms x 10 haha.

But it was def. fun, a great experience I would say. It's not as bad as it looks. Not sleeping is awesome, you can do some much things in a day it's crazy. Everyone should try it.

PS. I slept 13 hours last night and I feel perfectly fine now.

haha definitely seen these threads before... i stayed up 69 hours straight once during my freshman year in college. did really have a reason besides i had been up for like 28 so i just decided to see how long i could go..

we saw this video in human bio about how this guy tried to set the record for longest time stayed awake. it was so sketchy- he started hallucinating. and afterwards his personality was different and his wife left him. made me never want to even pull an all-nighter again

53 hours flying to Malaysia. I can't sleep on planes and my family insisted on doing something at every stopover. When we got there, I finally fell asleep standing up when we went out to eat.

I know  dude who has bipolar and stayed up like 4days straight driving inland to go visit aborigional - he was on a manic cycle (biploar thing) he got fucked over and had to be in hospital for 6 weeks
