How do you guys grab your skis while holding your poles?

hey everyone, i'm pretty new at skiing and this season is going to be my second season skiing. i was just wondering how does everyone grab their skis when they're in the air while still holding on to their poles. are most of your hands big enough to just grab both the pole and the skis edge or something?

Just use one or two fingers to grab.

I don't even know how, I just do it. I think I wedge my pole between my palm and ski. Don't think about it and do whatever comes natural

yea, its one of those things i would have to think about right after i do it. i think my hands are big enough that i hold on to the poles while grabbing my skis

index and middle finger, easiest way as you dont fully release the grip on your poles

drop your pole so its dangling on your wrist... then you can really get a good grab

I have no idea now that I think of it. Like tail I go for the top two fingers. but like a mute or saftey I have no idea. Weird.

Index and middle finger under the bindings. Or index, middle and thumb grabing the edges.

your suposed to grab with two fingers, index and midle.

i have my pole straps atached to my wrist, so they just kinda drap along. i grab my ski with my middle finger accrosed the bottom of the toepiece, then grab the edge with my pointer finger.

I think my thumb holds to pole against the topsheet of the ski and the rest f my fingers hold the ski. Haven't done it in so long i don't remember.

I don't have straps on my poles which makes it a pain so you learn how to emo grab pretty well

For tail grabs I use 2 fingers and for most other grabs I think I hold the pole with my thumb and push it against the rest while grabing with four fingers

buy/ make poles with smaller grips so you can hold it with your thumb and grab with the full four fingers

I hold the pole with my thumb and pinky and grab with pointer middle and ring fingers.... But sometimes I do 5 finger grabs and I don't know how haha

sick find dude! and yah basicaly you just jam ur thumb into the pole and go for it and if you are cool enough you go no poles....

do whatever feels comfortable. just go for it and see how you end up grabbing it. i cant even think of how i do it, it just kinda happens

Yikes, I'd be careful letting your poles drag while you are grabbing, you could get hurt like in a lot of different ways.

For those learning, for sure try the two fingers on the pole two on the ski.
