My home mountain just made a new rail similar to this
and plan on trying it tomorrow. I've got plenty of experience with double barrel and flat rails but have never done a round rail like this or others. Its set up regular, but ive got plenty of experience with urban. Any tips?
When I first tried these I couldn't stay of the rail. Someone I met at a rail jam suggested that I get all the way on the rail. That fixed my problem. So just remember make sure you fully get on top of the rail.

These for some reason seem easier, but i think it's a mental thing, because the contact surface with the rail should be no bigger than a doublebarrel, and certainly less than a flatbar. Like everyone said, they're like normal rails.
But if you've got plenty of experience hitting urban why do you need advice for something like this?
I think by urban he means urban-on style rails, not actual city urban.
Man, in order to develop properly your sperms require about two degrees lower temperature than your body. That means your testicles are meant to be hanging. Don't you see why gangsters are breeding more kids? - k-lei
True that its harder to nut like the guy above me said... i hit a 16 ft up round rail just like the one in the pic last year, and after probably 10 times hitting it i "nutted" myself, but didn't hit anywhere near my nuts, it was my mid thigh.. for people saying less surface area i feel like it's not exactly true, it all depends on how wide it is, and how rounded it is.

Correct, you could have a circular rail 10 feet wide, and you'd only be touching it on one spot. With that said, the wider circular rails are, the easier i find it to balance, and it becomes less painful to crash.
took me a morning to get last year, since then ive loved them, i learned my first sw ups and 270 on one like that tips: stay on top of the rail if your a little off so your toes or heels are a little off the rail enless you lean alot you will slide off, once you get it they are def the most trickable rails in my experience
