This saturday three of my buddies and I are going to munch some shrooms and go exploring, not sure where yet but we have it decently planned out.

It is not my first time but I have a random question for your newschoolers who have indulged in this amazing drug, what did you bring with you? We are working on a little list of things to bring with us.

So far:

Headphones
Writing/Pen/Paper
Cool Chocolate Bars
Cigarettes/Cigars

Do not follow this advice. An eighth is a pretty standard first time. Enough to feel the effects, but probably not enough that if you're not enjoying yourself you'll find yourself stuck deep in the abyss of your brain for an eternity. Do it once, and from there you can start to figure out whether you would do more if you did them again. You need to see how you respond to them, because some people just don't respond well to having their perception of the world altered in the way psychedelics can.

i know theres a little debate on how many.... I already have them 5g's inbetween high and cloud 9 i wanna get really fucked but not out of my dimension fucked, its going to be a good time sunny with my budies were going to go explore some nature I went out tonight and got some  munchies (a fuck lot) gatorade, silly string, glow sticks, sparklers, silly putty, markers, a really trippy set of gloves, some balloons and bubbles.... its going to be a fucked up day cant wait!

best advice is to go to a nice calm secluded place where no one who is not tripping can fuck with you. i would bring an ipod, cigarettes, bowls, maybe a beer or two to sip on and you'll be set. i have had amazing times doing this when i planned everything out, so good call on that. have fun! good luck! oh and bring really good friends that you know that you get along with.

Here's my checklist that I had for when I boomed last month.

- Ipod with some chill music (I tried to make a playlist of relaxing songs)
- Camera
- Drawing materials (Not sure if drawing while in the snow is too comfortable, but maybe it is)
- Camelback (Just to keep you constantly hydrated and just the feeling of the water going through the        tube was pretty fascinating at the time)
- Something to drink whilst eating the shrooms (I mixed the Dole orange peach mango juice with my fruit punch Gatorade and it was pretty damn delicious)
- Clothing with vivid colors and crazy patterns
- Weed just to ease you into the trip
- Something mushy like Playdough to make shapes and stuff.


Because you are doing this in the winter, I'd definitely suggest bringing some warm clothing for sure. Have a good trip!

find somewhere nice in the woods. somewhere surrounded by trees and without anyone else around and just sit on a nice boulder with your friends. bring music, food, butts, and a good attitude.

If you can. find one of those backpacks with built in speakers. they reasonably cheap and are absolutely prime to have, just put your ipod on shuffle and you dont have to worry about it after that.

I wouldn't start out with an eighth your first time. Eat a cap an then work yourself up to more in increments. If you are a seasoned shroom eater then eat what works for you. The effects are different for everyone. Take shrooms seriously, guys. Bad trips are the worst.

Probably a good start if you are unsure how much to take would a half eighth in my opinion. You will still have a semi-decent trip, but not as good if you had finished the full eighth. The overall best thing to do before trying shrooms is to do some research on the drug. Educate yourself well so you know what you are up against and this will ensure a much better trip.

We brought some snacks, music, fruity juice (great idea) and some bud (also great idea, helps with the stomach aches). I would avoid bringing much else because i had my backpack and wallet and shit and i was freaking out because i couldn't remember if i had everything. Happy tripping...

Don't walk into a forest and eat mushrooms that you don't know what they are. Don't eat moldy mushrooms. You're not gonna go crazy. Just make sure you are in the right mindset before even thinking about eating mushrooms. If you are worried about working the next day or you are meeting your parents rather soonish and you are nervous... don't eat them. Bad thoughts while tripping on shrooms is horrible. One time I had to coach myself out of bad thoughts for a while. It sucked. Do them with friends because what if you have a bad reaction? Who's gonna call 911? And it's boring to do them alone. Oh, go outside. Don't do shrooms during a blizzard like I did.

hahahha, not to try to make you change your mind, but may i recommend lsd for your first trip. To me it just seems like an eaiser option and less hard on your stomach, because you only have to eat like 1/100 compared to the amount of shrooms you have to eat. Also, if you only eat one tab (assuming they're blotters) you will feel the effects, but mildly enough that you will easily be able to control yourself, but you will still have a awesome time. Everything is awesome on acid, walking, music, lights, trees, leaves, you name it.

Does anyone else have an extremely difficult time eating when your REALLY tripping...shit just feels like rubber in my mouth. I made a quesadilla the other night (I had to ask for help because the colors on the tortilla were spinning and changing) I took one bite and just handed it to my friend saying I cant do this and laughing

Except tolerance builds pretty quickly. If you just eat a cap and then wait for the effects to come on, which may be up to an hour, then eat another cap, and then repeat, I think you're wasting your time. If you freak the fuck out on an eighth, then you either have insanely potent shrooms, or they are not for you, plain and simple. Although bad trips are the worst, take them as an opportunity to learn, and not just freak out want to kill yourself because you ate too many shrooms.

Vitamin C enhances the visual hallucinations, so that's why everyone is saying orange juice. You don't have to have OJ but I recommend something that has vitamin C in it.

Another thing. MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU. Shrooms, at least for me, intensified my feelings so much. When I was happy I was soo happy. I also had the unfortunate experience of having a bad trip with them and the fear I felt was so intense, like nothing I have ever experienced.

Bottom line: Do not underestimate these guys, but they are definitely fun and an enlightening experience in the correct environment.

bring ipod, headphones, papers, small bowl, like an eighth, water, gum. chips or some food of some type, and eat like 3.5 g thatll be decent cause it's not your first time. a jacket cause its cold as fuck now, cigs, etc.
