This saturday three of my buddies and I are going to munch some shrooms and go exploring, not sure where yet but we have it decently planned out.

It is not my first time but I have a random question for your newschoolers who have indulged in this amazing drug, what did you bring with you? We are working on a little list of things to bring with us.

So far:

Headphones
Writing/Pen/Paper
Cool Chocolate Bars
Cigarettes/Cigars

Headphones are good but bring portable speakers! bring some weed to smoke too. when i trip on mushrooms outdoors and go exploring i usually wear some nice comfy clothes, bring a blanket, bring a little weed and a bowl, a cigar, my ipod/portable speakers (make a tripping play list that consists of nice relaxing music w/ no lyrics), i NEVER bring my cell phone, and wear clothes with cool designs and cool colors.

one time me and some friends had lost our minds completely and this older woman cross country skied by us. we were belligerently yelling I"M ON A BOAT MOTHERFUCKER while we climbed all over this boat sculpture thing in the woods (it was real fun). anyways, we probably scared the shit out of her...

warm clothes, beverages (not alcohol!), iPod but like everyone else said bring speakers so everyone sort of experiences the same thing, snacks.....mmm snacks, people who are CALM and won't get anxious if you "seem" to be lost....oh and definitely go somewhere rather remote...like a state park that isn't often hiked so others won't see you and if you see people that weren't originally with you it can turn out real bad.

Definitely some Sunny D, weed but i've tripped without smoking and it was just as good, drawing is also really fun, and a comfy sweatshirt helps a lot too. Mushrooms are awesome, have fun!

omg find oil paintings of animals or something slightly abstract. you will literally watch the paint swirl around under the glass.

is it gonna be day or night, and will it be in public, or in a place where you're pretty much alone? a friend and i munched at like 1 am inside his house and we stayed in confined spaces all night. we put away anything electronic, so we had no contact with anyone outside of each other, and no clocks so we had no perception of time all night.

Ill be doing them in the morning lasting into the day, its supposed to be mainly sunny with a chance of light snow +2 at the highest, were going to eat em in residence then go venturing to the local ski hill (which is shut down) and go venturing.

I live in a pretty rural community for school so anywhere 5 mins off campus we can find nature and woods.

Im doing them with 3 of my other buddies.

Here's a few tips...

Eat as many as you can get your hands on. I'm not kidding. Most people are timid, don't eat enough, and, as a result, have a half-assed experience. The point of mushrooms is to get really high, so go ahead and get really high. Don't just dip your toes in the pool; go swimming! Don't just eat a stem or two, eat an eighth and prepare to meet yourself. You aren't going to overdose (although there's a chance you'll vomit... but that's how you know it's about to be epic) and just be sure to have Gatorade around to stay properly hydrated. If you wanted to get really stoned, you'd smoke a bunch of weed; if you want to trip your face off, eat a bunch of shrooms. It won't be anything you can't handle.

I'd recommend some Shpongle...



and DJ mixes... kinda like this one... by me ;)

Mushrooms are a strong dose of the truth... you won't experience anything you aren't prepared for. Considering you're dosed with a MASSIVE release of DMT the moment you're born, eating a quarter ounce or so of mushrooms won't be anything you haven't already experienced. You'll be fine, just be sure to have someone around who's more sober than you... you know, to make sure you don't end up naked out in the street. Bottom line, you'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

The most ive ever eaten was 9 grams. I couldnt call the experience anything and have it be accurate but after doing them so many times I dont think ill ever eat mushrooms again just strictly acid. I would never recommend to someone to eat that large of a dose of anything hallucinogenic. If they feel they are spiritually ready to ingest something like that then thats dope but Id never tell someone they would be ok doing it because Iv seen some pretty nasty shit happen to people who are just totally spun. I watched some one pool himself with swiss needlepoint and within fifteen minutes he was ripping flatscreen tvs off the wall and smashing windows. When asked what the fuck he was doing he flatly said "because theres nothing else to do." This kids dosed over a hundred times but sometimes you just fly into another dimension and nothing is real.Another episode involves an eighth of mushrooms and some fluff and fighting off 3 cops and a few campus security guards and waking in a hospital. Hallucinogens need to be HIGHLY respected

No. Gradually work your way up. Start out with a cap then just keep going until you get your desired effect. Just one bad trip can ruin you, and you won't want to do it again.

I was too cold when I munched, so bulk up on warm clothes.
I didn't have headphones but I just put the external speakers on on my ipod and it was like having real-life background music. also i think it's better not to burden yourself with extraneous shit. I had my bike with me and it was a nuisance to have to take it everywhere. I like the idea of bringing shit to write down you thoughts/ draw etc.

People need to understand that a trip is a result of three factors: substance, set, and setting.

Ripping flat TVs off the walls and fighting cops has little to do with the substance- that happens ALL THE TIME with alcohol- but likely much more to do with the set and even more so with the setting.

Mushroom can provide overwhelming, animalistically spiritual experiences and it's never made sense to me why people take them at parties. Taking them somewhere with other people consuming alcohol or accelerants or where the vibe is uncontrolled and hectic is likely to be a bad time, but that has little to do with the mushrooms and more to do with the setting. The setting- whom you're with, what's going on between the people you're with, what you're doing- is crucial to determining the trip. Where you're at- the set- plays a huge role, as well. If you're chilling at home or a friend's house, you'll probably feel comfortable, whereas if you're out at a bar or a club, you could become disoriented, frightened, etc.

Eating a bunch of mushrooms is going to get you really high on mushrooms, nothing else at all. What you choose to do from there will largely be influenced by where you are, what's going on, and whom you're with. Eat a bunch of good mushrooms, choose good friends, and find a good, chill place to hang out. But most important, eat a bunch of good mushrooms. A bunch.

an eighth is a good first time amount. it also makes buying easier: 3/8 of an ounce. but if you're feeling adventurous OP, buy a half ounce and split it for the three of you
