yea, u can u just hookup the camcorder to the vcr, play the camcorder and hit record on the vcr, its simple, you should get a digi camcorder and a 35mm slr camera, thata what i have and ita a good setup.

i have a digital camera, but it doesnt come with the digi hook up cable. a $1500 camera, no cable. wtf? cheap mother fuckers at jvc...

which model, the originals did not come with firewire but u can always get a capture device for u'r comp that hooks up to u;r usb port and the imputs are compostie (red/white/yellow) or/and s-video, meassage me if u have any further questions, later

as far as stills, if you have a ton of money to blow, you should get a high-end digital. nicon or canon makes one that can take 15 pictures in a row at 5 fps! and the quality is really good, like 3000x5000(aproximatly) px. i want one bad! they aren't much more expencive than a high-end slr.
