i think most of them look retarded, SPESHly in the summer time whens theres grass everywhere and insects fucking. id prefer park rails much more. they dont look retarded and out of place, and they can be just as hard, or even harder than urban rails.

i think a metal/wood on a snow covered ski hill looks way more out of place than a rail next to a set of stairs..

i dont look at them like they're the future of skiing though..they're just a fun part of it..

every urban rail is slightly different and every setup for it is different. that's why they are so fun. it's also the difficult factor of settin it all up yourself and making due with what's there. park skiing can get old. back country hits and urban are my favorite things ot watch.

i think to some degree, urban rails and rails in general are a fad. remember ballet in the 70's? jumps will always we a big thing because of getting air,to everyone, is fun in every action sport. i can definately see them as a fun thing to do and would only do them if I lived in a place with no pow or good snow(CT, which I do) in about 5-6 years, rails will be gay. i mean really, sliding down a piece of metal sideways

go watch a movie from 2 or 3 years ago. anthony IS one of the best 'rail riders'. he, along with DC, were pretty much the only guys consistently doing urban rails, and doing different tricks on them, like switch ons, unnatural, etc.
he essentially did everything he could do in that department, and basically has retired from urban. he still goes down as one of the best though.
