Ski Season Could be OVER

Broke my growth plate last feb. and have been having some pains in my wrist turns out i might have positive ulnar variance (ulna is longer than my radius) and they will have to take a chunk of my bone out to even them out would could take 2 months......

Any one had this done before

as long as you dont land on your arm you should be fine.. just tone down your shredding and just cruze around.

Damn man i had exact same shit 7 years ago on my left wrist. Realised 3-4 years after the accident my left arm was 2,5 cm shorter then my right one and it hurt since 7 years... but doctor told me they cant rly do anything about it. Good luck with your surgery man hope evry thing goes well

I broke my radius' growth plate a few years ago and my ulna now bows out away from my wrist about 3/8ths of an inch, pretty ghoulish. I never had surgery on it, looking back probably wouldnt have been a bad idea.

had something simular to my leg but instead of taking out a chunk of bone they had to put a in a chunk.  it sucked hard and took me 7 months to get off crutches.  good luck tho man!

yeahh man thats gay as hell.. in my foot i shattered a couple of bones and the healed differently than they should have so now i have a buckle and my ski boots kill not matta what. i just waited til the spring tho to get surgery

theres a vid around here somewhere of a kid shredding hellbents all over the mountain with a broken arm tucked away "safely" in his jacket :)

comming from a family of doctors... stay out this winter. growth plates are nasty

save all the money that you get from working from this winter to next and DONT SPEND IT. ski 2x as much as you would normally, essentially two seasons in one, eh?

if you do end up getting it casted make sure they mold it around a ski pole grip

I did the same thing longboarding once. However just ski a season with out poles and a hardcast and you should be fine.
