Its the year for new boots! Dicussion.

Hello NS, its finally the year im in need of new boots and i actually have the money. So im going to throw out my limitations and shit and it would be awsome if you guys could suggest boots.

29.5
no more than 500$
Wide foot, 102mm^
you can suggest the flex you like

the four ive been looking at are

ROSSIGNOL SAS FS2 09-10
ROSSIGNOL SAS FS2 10-11
DAlBELLO VOODOO 10-11
FULL TILT BOOTERS 10-11

pick from those or your own opinnion for another one, whatever you want to tell me do it.

Not hating but everyone is gonna tell you to go to a boot fitter. Which is absolutely the only way to get the proper boot.

Maybe the Dalbellos, but the Booter is a 103 last this year, so that's a top option.

I'm not sure, but it seems like you may have already tried all these on, if not, I'd recommend that before doing anything. Boot fitter is your best option, but I realize that that's not always an option for people. The Voodoos might be a bit tight of a fit, and honestly there isn't a big difference between the 2010 and the 2011 SASs if memory serves me correct, so save some money and get the 2010s if those fit correctly. So that narrows it down to 2 for you (09-10 SAS and the 10-11 Booter), from there, try them on, see how they fit, and go from there.

We have a boot fitter withen 45 min, but we dont really trust his "training/expierence" whatever you want to call it.

I also have farley big calfs also, and i was looking at the Booters compared to the SAS FS2 and idk if its the pic or if the Booters liner will go farther up my calf which might cause it not to fit as good.??

also are there any other boot models you think i should look into?

Ace of Spades, I just bought a pair in a 29.5, I have quite a wide foot as well, my bootfitter punched them out a slight bit and they fit like a dream. Big calfs don't seem to be a big problem with them either.

i have nordica supercharger spark's and love them. for a wider foot, definitely look at nordica

you have to try em on. even if you have to drive a ways, boots are way too important not to get the fit right. improper boots will make your feet hurt, and hurt your skiing.

my plan is ordering 4 boots, trying all them on and wearing them for a couple hours each day for like 3 days and just see which works out the best

where are you ordering boots from that allows you to keep them for three days and just wear them? and you have $2000 to throw down on boots (whether you return them or not)?

i suggest looking at Tecnicas. they are normally wider fitting, and if needed, you can get new Air Shell or even the H.V.L. which is a 106 last.

Every company makes boots that fit from super narrow to super wide in every flex possible. Just find the boot that works for your foot shape, your flexibility, and your weight range and you will be all set.

Im going to buy the boots try them on, wear one pair a night for a few hours and then decide which one i like best and send the rest back, and 3(400 even 500) is 1200-1500, which i will be geting all back but 400.
