Inception - Still in theatres, but totally badass

The Prestige - Has an amazing twist

Batman Begins & Dark Knight - Just badass

Kick-Ass - It kicks ass

Hot Rod - Hilarious

The Hangover - Hilarious

Taken - Not much of a plot, but a lot of cool fighting scenes

Memento - Another good twist

District 9 - Cool alien flick

heres some of my faves
the warriors- just a super super awesome movie
the thin red line- if you want a super good actiony movie
the right stuff- awesome actors, an awesome feel good movie, about the first american astronauts
cool hand luke- good badass movie
the thing- seriously the most suspenseful and scary movie ever, just plain awesome
the sphere- a sci-fi movie, super original plot and idea, suspenseful, good actors, extremely underrated
jacobs ladder- wierd as hell, scarry
alien or aliens- just cant go wrong
sunshine- one of the best sci fi moves in the last 10 years
moon- ^same reason as sunshine
the road- fucked up, sad, depressing, but IMO one of the top 10 movies ever. and such good acting.
28 days later- best zombie movie
red dawn- EPIC- one of those movies you have to see
rambo first blood- awesome action movie
the new rambo- some of the best action in any movie ever.

if you just want great entertainment- any of the first star wars movies
