Then put your own words in your mouth. Be specific, your mother is purchasing an ounce of what from your grandmother? I hope it's an ounce of cyanide to poison your breakfast tomorrow you feisty little tart.-El.Gato
I have a 4WD toyota tacoma extended cab which is a great ski car. Room for heated boots in the back and plenty of room for skis in the back. My buddies and I offroad in it too and beat the crap out if it but its a beast. Get a TRD if you can, there are a ton of 04s and later out there for cheap.

I have heard otherwise from quite a few people . I would much rather have an older pathfinder. But I won't disagree with you as I have only ever driven them around parking lots and installed hitches on them. I also think cars should be symmetrical on the outside, but apparently Nissan doesn't.
Time to whore out some pictures of my 3 week old Xterra. Traded in my 2006 WRX Limited for a 2011 Xterra Pro-4X.
At dealership prior to signing, my WRX is barely visible in the background.
Day 2 of ownership, first day off the paved roads and first day above 4000'.
Hit the trail again a week or so ago, to investigate recent snow in the Cascades.
And most recently, new tires, removed the OEM tires after 575 miles with something a bit more practical...
And to the above mentioned post of the gear box on the roof rack. I find it to be more of a gimmick than anything practical. I have yet to find anything to stick up there. Maybe throw some snow in there so my beer can get cold while I am skiing?
