Saga sweater shrinkage

So I washed my saga hoodie for the first time today and it shrunk by about the length of the ribbing on the bottom, and colour faded. Has anybody else made the dumb mistake of putting there's in the dryer. How can I bring her back too size. +++k for help on the re:size

Ya pretty much, my mother did it though. But she still hit me for not informing here on what to do. Anybody help fix it to an extent

just put in in the washer or run the shower on it for like two minutes, put the top (neck part) in a door, close the door and stretch to desired length.
this will not work if it has a zipper.
